North Holland
North Holland is a province situated on the North Sea in the northwest part of the Netherlands and the main city is Amsterdam. We visited the towns of Marken, and Volendam in 2009.
The scenic village of Marken is in the Waterland Region of North Holland. It is known for its characteristic wooden houses and traditional costumes.
