Sights of Palermo
Palermo is the capital of the Italian island of Sicily. In the center is the 12th-century Palermo Cathedral which houses royal tombs and a very interesting sun dial. Busy markets are in different areas of the city and are well worth a visit. We saw a wedding procession at one by the old city gate. There are a lot of other sites you would want to visit as well, like the Quattro Canti (Medieval 6 corner street junction, Saint Cataldo Church in Martorana, Santa Maria Nuova Cathedral in Monreale, and others.
