Nuremberg
I visited Nuremberg in 2008 and found there were several sites with a strong Nazi history due to the Nazi Party rallies that were held there in the late 1930's and 1940's as well as the Nuremberg Trials after WW2. But there are other historical sites in the city like the Nuremberg Castle which overlooks the city. The Hauptmarkt provides a picturesque setting with Gothic Schöner Brunnen (Beautiful Fountain) and its gold ring welded within an iron fence that is said to bring good luck to those that spin it. As well as the Our Lady's Church and the famous Christmas market. There is the house of Albrecht Dürer and the statue of his famous rabbit. The Gothic St. Lorenz church in the old town center was reconstructed after WW2 and is worth a look. Finally the huge Nazi party rally grounds with its documentation center are worth a quick trip.
