Prague
We visited Prague in 2012 and found the city very charming. The different faces on the building as we walked around town were especially interesting. From baroque to renaissance to classical to gothic to neoclassical to medieval to art nouveau architecture you will find it all in Prague. A couple of places of note are the old town square with the Astronomical clock on the Old Town Hall that has a great show on the hour, a stroll across Charles bridge and Prague Castle (according to Guinness the biggest ancient castle in the world) with the wonderful gothic St. Vitus Cathedral. As you walk from the Old Town Square to the Charles bridge, step into the Jesuit collage and climatological center. If you look up along the wall to the far left you will see a statue of a small girl sitting on wall reading. The Jewish Quarter is very scenic with the new/old synagogue, Jewish town hall, cemetery and a short walk away is the beautiful Jerusalem synagogue. Check out the statue of Franz Kafka along the way. Finally there is Wenceslas square which is anchored by the National Museum on one side and is where the Velvet Revolution demonstrations started in 1989 that lead to democracy in the republic. There was the "Taste of Czech Republic while we where there which was a lot of fun and yummy too.
