Gent

We visited Gent in 2009. The city's medieval architecture is well preserved and has been restored. Some sites worth seeing are Town Hall, the Belfry and Saint Bavo Cathedral, scenic canals, and various guild houses (meat packers, fish packers, etc) some of which can be toured. The Gravensteen Castle has a metal spider web on the outer walls, not sure why.
