Innsbruck
I visited Innsbrook in 2005 and it is a very scenic city (and winter ski resort) in the center of Austria’s Tyrol Alps. The Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof) is considered a symbol of Innsbruck and is on the main street of old town. It has a three story balcony capped with 3,657 gold plated copper tiles over a porch built for Maximillian I. Other interesting attractions include the Glockenmuseum Grassmayr (bell foundry) with a museum that focuses on the process and history of bell-making. Schloss Ambras is a scenic historic castle with very nice arms and armor collection. Basilika Wilten, Cathedral of St Jakob, and Hofkirche with the Sarcophagus of Maximilian I are churches worth visiting. I recommend taking a gondola up to the top of the Alps to stroll through the ratified air and take in the amazing view. But while I found the Swarovski Crystal World interesting, it seemed more of a sales gimmick for their crystals.
