Paracas
Paracas is a small port town catering to tourism, it serves as the jumping point for tours to Islas Ballestas and to Paracas National Reservation.
The Paracas culture was an important Andean society between approximately 800 BCE and 100 BCE, with an extensive knowledge of irrigation and water management. They played a key role in the development of the Nazca culture and also created geoglyphs.
