Curacao
We visited in 2016. Every time we visit Willemstad we are struck by the fancifully hued buildings. Santa Anna Bay channel cuts Willemstad right in half. This time we walked a little deeper into the city on both sides of the channel and found the floating market on the Punda side which was full of fresh fruits and vegetables. In this market the stalls back up the boats which are used to bring in the produce. The floating walking bridge is always fun to watch when it needs to open to let boats by. There is also some very interesting painted graffiti on the walls of Fort Amsterdam. This fort once guarded Willemstad, but has been converted into a hotel.
