I visited Tahiti in 2009 and found it a friendly and relaxing place. It is a great to sit in the sun and read a book and recharge. However there are sites to see if you get restless. There is the Point Venus Lighthouse and the black sand beaches, Marae Arahurahu, James Norman Hall’s House (Author of "Mutiny on the Bounty"), Maraa Groto, and the Paul Gauguin Museum. But take some time to go into the jungles and enjoy a waterfall or two, watch a sunset, as well as enjoy a traditional dance performance.
